Senior Scor
Reminder that Senior Scor will take place on Friday, March 6th at 7:30pm in Canon Donohue Hall, Mohill. All participants should contact Maria Fallon on 0872261538 with their entry details. The deadline for entry is Monday, March 2nd.

Leitrim Supporters Club
We have our annual allocation of Leitrim GAA supporters club tickets for sale with over €10,000 in Prizes! These can be bought securely online or by contacting any member of our Club Executive.

Future Star!
Huge congratulations to Barry mc Weeney on receiving his county Minor player of the year last Saturday night. Barry was the lynchpin for McDiarmada Gaels the past year and had a stellar year with Leitrim Minors also. Well deserved Barry.

Sympathy
We offer our sympathy to the extended Flynn families on the passing of Elizabeth Flynn of Driney, Drumcong whose funeral took place in St Brigid's Church last Tuesday. May her soul rest in peace.

Leitrim v Offaly
Best of luck to the Leitrim senior men's team who take on Offaly this Sunday in Pairc Sean. This is a huge game for the lads to ensure survival in Division 3 for next year.

Congratulations
Well done to Elaine McKeon and all her staff in Sweet Geranium Cafe in Drumshanbo, on making it to the top 5 in Ireland's Best Brunch Awards held recently in Dublin. Keep er lit Elaine!

McDiarmada Gaels
The under 13s kick off their campaign this Saturday in Ballinamore this Saturday at 12pm against Northern Gaels.

Congratulations to converted Kiltubrid man, Morgan Shanley who celebrated the big 40 at the weekend!

Under 13's back at it
Good luck to the under 13 MacDiarmada Gaels team who kick off their league campaign this weekend.

GAA Predictions Competition
Well done to Maureen Earley who is our Round 3 winner with 18pts in our GAA Predictions Competition. Maureen wins €50 for her efforts. Round 4 Slips are currently on sale with the first match of Round 4 kicking off at 2pm on Saturday, February 22nd.

Park Facilities
Well done to our Park Committee and volunteers, who have carried out trojan work over the last few weeks, with improvements to our park training facilities and car park, in advance of the many underage and adult teams returning to training for 2020. Our main therefield is still out of bounds for the foreseeable future in 2020 but it promised to be worth the wait! All patrons are asked to try to leave the park how they found it and close the chain link fence if you're the last person out.

Benefit Night
Jim and Jane Cowley would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to, helped and participated in any way in the recent benefit night for their son Christopher, who is seriously ill at the moment. Jim stayed at home with Christopher on the night but Jane turned up and it was obvious she was overcome with emotion with the generosity and kind nature of the community. Get well soon Christopher!

Leitrim Under 20's
Good luck to the Leitrim Under 20 team in their championship game this weekend v Galway with our own Diarmuid MacThiarnan a member of the Panel.

Coaching Course
Reminder to anyone interested in coaching or helping out with under age teams, Leitrim GAA are running a Foundation coaching course.  Friday- Feb 7th, 7 -10pm in the Bush Hotel.  Saturday -Feb 8th,10am - 2:30pm in the Leitrim GAA Centre of Excellence. This is essential for anyone involved with coaching.

National League Predictions
Well done to Feargail Quinn who won Round 2 of the Kiltubrid GAA Predictions Competition after the Tie-Breaker, winning €50.
Remember you can still join and win €50 per Round. Slips available from local businesses.  All slips must be in before the first match of Round 3 at 7pm on Saturday, 8th February.

Leitrim V Longford
Good luck to the Leitrim team and management as they travel up the N4 to take on our neighbours Longford in Round 3 of the league. Leitrim put up a solid performance against Cork last Sunday and bar a few costly mistakes, the game could have been a lot tighter. 

Volleyball
Well done to Danny McWeeney and Karl Winters who won the All Island Volleyball Final with Drumshanbo VS,  representing Ireland v Northern Ireland recently. In what was an extremely entertaining match, Drumshanbo VS edged out the northern opponents in a deciding set.

Pitch Car Park
All who use our facilities are asked to ensure the car park entrance is closed by last person out.

Registration Night
Registration night takes place this Friday from 7-8pm at the pitch.

All Ireland Champs
Well done to Danny McWeeney and Karl Winters who were part of the Drumshanbo Vocational School Volleyball team  who won All Ireland last Wednesday. Great stuff lads!

Coaching Course
Anyone interested in coaching or helping out with under age teams, Leitrim GAA are running a Foundation coaching course on Friday the 7th & Saturday 8th of February in South Leitrim, venue to be confirmed. This is essential for anyone involved with coaching.

National League Predictions
The National League kicked off this weekend with some very interesting results, including a fantastic draw for our own Leitrim up in Derry. A draw was a very common result this weekend, and with 4 points being given for a one, you'd be sailing out in front if you were prone to picking the occasional draw.
If you missed week 1 don't worry, it's not too late to join. Well done to Gabriel Curran who won week 1 and the prize of €50.

Benefit night
Last Saturday a benefit night was hosted for Christopher Cowley in Gerties. Christopher is seriously ill at the moment.The night was a huge success with a great turnout. This is a testament to the man he is and we all wish him a speedy recovery.

We offer our sympathy to the Scollan family Drumcong, on the death of Michael McGovern brother of Kitty Scollan,  whose funeral took place last week in New Jersey , U.S.A..  May his soul rest in peace.

There is a benefit night for Christopher Cowley, son of Jim and Jane Cowley, this Saturday night, January 25th in Gerties at 9pm. Christopher is a fine young man within our community going through a tough time. He is currently undergoing treatment for a serious illness. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Various musicians on the night.

Scór na nÓg Final
Our Instrumental Group of Darragh & Eadaoin Lee, Claire & Danny McWeeney and Ciara Ferry put in a great performance representing Kiltubrid & Leitrim in the Connacht Scór na nÓg Final this evening in Claremorris.  Unfortunately they didn't come away with the top prize but can take great satisfaction in making it back to back County Titles over 2 Years.
Well done to all Team Members and their Mentors who put in a huge amount of hours practicing over the past few Months.

New Years Greetings
Kiltubrid GAA would like to wish all its members home and away a happy new year.

GAA predictions 2020
Keep an eye out for dockets for this years competition which will be kicking off in the next few weeks. Dockets will be available in all local businesses.

Scór Na nÓg

2020 Baby
Congratulations to Brian and Charlene Tighe on the recent birth of their son, Conor James Tighe on the 3rd January. Great age for the auld football Brian!

Race Night

A Great Nights Entertainment was had for the Kiltubrid GAA Night at the Races in Gerties Canal Stop. With each race needing a Photo Finish meaning results were tight. Below is a list of all Race winners who will get their Prizes shortly.  The Auction Race saw high drama with rival syndicates doing battle to secure their Horse in the Big One. In the end it was Christopher McKeon who came out on top claiming the top Prize on the night. Well Done to all those helped make the night a great success. Barry McWeeney
Congratulations to Barry McWeeney who was named 2019 Leitrim GAA u17 Player of the Year. Barry represented both MacDiarmada Gaels and the county squad over the year.

Fun Run/Walk
The Parents Association of St. Brigid’s National School are holding a family fun run/walk 2.5k & 5k on Sunday 29th December 2019 at 1pm, registration from 12.15pm.
