Kiltubrid Drama Players Stage “ Widows’ Paradise.
History will be made in Kiltubrid Parish on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May in Cardiff’s Lakeside Tavern, Drumcong when the  Kiltubrid Drama Players stage “ Widows’ Paradise“, a hilariously funny 3 – Act Comedy Play written by the great playwright of comedy, Sam Cree. Cree has written several outstanding comedies. Many contend that “ Widows’ Paradise “ is the funniest one of them all. From the minute the curtain goes up until it falls, it is a laugh a minute. Why wouldn’t it be! For the plot ensures there will be mayhem! Five women set off for a weekend in a caravan on a Holiday Caravan Park. They want to get away from men. Their motto and resolve is, “ Men! Never again! “. The key fails to open the Caravan. They break down the door. Three men, later to be joined by a fourth, return from fishing to find their caravan occupied by the women. Nine people in one caravan for a night  - you will have to see result ! Sheer comedy ! Enthusiastically, under the direction of Andrew Redican, the cast and stage crew have put many hours, days, weeks and months into rehearsing so  that the play is an outstanding success; one to be recalled for years to come; one the parish will be proud of. The performances start at 8.00pm each night. Note time. Doors open at 7.00pm. Come early and avoid disappointment.

Leitrim Primary Schools Athletics
Huge congratulations to the boys and girls from our local National school who for the fourth successive year won the best overall school at the Primary Schools Athletics in Manorhamilton on Sunday last. The pupils also narrowly missed out on the senior relay title. In the relay final, Drumcong and Leitrim Village crossed the line together and the officials could not determine which team were the winners. It was decided to re run the final and Leitrim emerged victorious by the narrowest of margins. Ballinamore won the junior relay title. There was a fantastic turnout of children from our school with each and every one playing their part in bringing the trophy back to Kiltubrid. Thanks to all the parents for their continued support.
