- Bike Week
Bike Day took place on Saturday 19th June and the road to Kiltubrid
pitch was lined with cyclists and bikes of all shapes and sizes. It was a
very enjoyable day and we would like to thank all who took part in all
of the events and joined in the fun. A special word of thanks to Garda
Mick Maye for his talk on bike safety, to Councillor Francie Gilmartin
who was spotted peddling down the road to take part in the event and to
Gerard and Damien Lynch for their bicycle repair workshop. Thanks also
to all the people who helped organise the event and to the children who
took part in the best decorated bike competition. The winners of this
category were Darragh Lee, Eadaoin Lee, Tara Keaney and TJ Mc Govern.
James Gill was to be a contender in this category but due to an
unfortunate puncture on the way to the pitch that morning it caused him
to be eliminated!
