LEITRIM PRIMARY SCHOOLS ATHLETICS

Leitrim Primary Schools Athletics takes place in Manorhamilton next Sunday May 3rd.


COMMUNITY GAMES ATHLETICS

Drumshanbo Area Athletics (Drumshanbo, Kiltubrid & Ballinaglera) will take place on Sunday 10th May in Kiltubrid Pitch, Drumcong at 5:00pm, with registration from 4.30pm. Pre-registration also available through Drumshanbo Athletic Club or by email to drumshanboareacg@gmail.com.  Full range of track and field events for all ages from Under 8 up to U 16. Entry fee is €4.00 per child or €10.00 per family.  Further information available on Drumshanbo Area Community Games Facebook Page as well as http://communitygames.ie


FIXTURES AND RESULTS

The Div 2 team travelled to Blacklion to take on Glenfarne and emerged with a victory on the day. Kiltubrid 1-10 Glenfarne Kilty 1-08. Next game is on Bank Holiday Monday next against Dromahair in Dromahair. The U14's played Annaduff with victory going to Annaduff and the U16's overcame Carrigallen  on Friday evening on a scoreline of Kiltubrid 4-12 Carrigallen 5-8.


SCHOOLS FOOTBALL

Last week saw the start of both the boys and girls schools football. Well done to the boys team who overcame Gortletteragh and Ballinamore . The girls were narrowly beaten by Mohill. Games continue this week.


COMMUNITY GAMES SWIMMING

Well Done to all the children who participated in the Community Games County Swimming Finals in Aura Leisure Centre on Sunday 19 April. Special congratulations to our medal winners.   Gold: Ella Mae McKeon Under 8 Freestyle, Lauryn McKeon Under 12 Freestyle, Laoise Fee Under 14 Breaststroke and Eoin Smith Under 16 Butterfly. Silver: Eoin Guckian Under 12 Breaststroke, Girls Under 13 Freestyle Relay: Lauryn McKeon, 
Niamh McDonagh, Aideen McDonagh & Laoise Fee. Bronze: Brogan Fee Under 12 Breaststroke, Rachel McGarry Under 14 Backstroke, Aideen McDonagh Under 14 Freestyle. Best of luck to our gold medal winners who will represent Leitrim in the Community Games National Finals in August.
