The Club are holding a registration night on Friday night 1st February from 7.30 - 8.30 at the pitch for all under 6, 8 and under 10 girls and for all boys from underage up to and including all Senior players. All other members should also come down on the night also. We would like to encourage as many parents as possible to become members to ensure the future of our club. Membership can also be paid to club registrar Paddy Whitlow 087 7948163 or any club official. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the club every paid up member will be entered into a quarterly draw for €35.00.
Following on from a well attended Coaches meeting last week we would like to thank all those who have volunteered to train and help out with teams in the coming year. Please also note that all club coaches & team management should be paid up members of the club. A furthered meeting will take place in the coming weeks to go through some sample coaching sessions and coaching procedures. There are still a few vacancies so anybody else who would like to assist with any team please contact the Coaching officer, Damien Mc Weeney 087 6804501 or Underage Chairperson, Padraig Lynch 071-9641029
Pleases note that as of January 1st 2013 mouth-guards are compulsory for all underage players from under 6 to under 18. All players must bring and wear their mouth-guard at all training sessions & matches. Mouth-guards must be worn for the duration of the game or training session. Where an underage player comes to a match or training session without their mouth-guard they cannot be allowed to participate at any time during the game or session. You can get more information on the type of mouth guards approved by the GAA from your underage coach or club official. Suitable mouth-guards are widely available in all the local sports shops. However the club do not recommend any particular range or style. This is a matter of preference for each player or parent.
There will be a clothing recycling drive in aid of KILTUBRID GAA CLUB on the weekend of Friday 1st February 2013, so anyone that has done a clear out for Christmas you can get rid of your unwanted stuff at the pitch (or even drop it off when you are down at the registration night). Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes also bed linen, curtains, towels, curtains, shoes, bags, belts and soft toys. Wearable clothes will be recycled and reused and other items will be recycled for items such as industrial wipes or soundproofing.
