Fixtures and results
Congratulations and well done to our Senior team who defeated Bornacoola in the relegation semi-final play-off last weekend in Ballinamore. It was a fantastic game with the final score being  3-10 to 0-9.  This result means that we have retained senior championship status for 2014. Thanks to all our loyal supporters who came out on the day .
On Wednesday evening next 4th September our Minor team play Glenfarne/Killltyclogher in the Championship shield final. This is fixed for Ballinaglera at 6.30pm. Your support would be appreciated.
The under- 16 championship is scheduled to commence on Friday week, September 13th.  With this in mind under -16 training will take place on this Thursday evening September 5th from 7 to 8pm at the pitch.

Club Meeting
There will be a club meeting on Thursday night 5th September at the pitch at 8.30pm All are welcome.

Congratulations and very well done to Gary Beirne and Laura Redican who were the referees at the half time exhibitions games on Sunday last  in Croke park during  the all -Ireland football semi-finals. Both players and their families had a great day out in Croke Park. The senior semi -final with Dublin and Kerry was a real cracker and I’m sure in years to come Gary & Laura will be able to say they were actually on the Croke park pitch for one of the greatest football matches in living memory. Don’t be surprised in the future to see Gary or Laura refereeing at senior level in Croke park. You have done us all proud.
Congratulations and best wishes to Noel and Mella Horan on the birth of their new baby boy Aidan, congratulations also to the proud grandparents PJ and Margaret Horan on this their third grandchild in 2013 and the year isn’t over  yet….!

Celebrating their birthday this week is our Club IT man Eoin Meehan, also celebrating this week is Kevin Keaney Keshcarrigan we wish you both a very happy birthday and many happy returns.
Good Luck
We would like to wish all the boys and girls who started school this week the very best of luck, they say they are the best years of your life so enjoy every one of them.

Lough Key Triathlon
Best wishes to the various athletes in the parish involved with the Lough Key Tri Club who are competing in the National Series Lough Key Triathlon this coming Sunday in Forest park.  For some it will be their first event.  As you may have noticed Kesh lake and the roads around the parish has been a hive of activity over the last few week with these local athletes putting in a final effort before this upcoming event.  There will be over 450 people participating at this national event and Kiltubrid parish is sure to be well represented.  Best of luck to all involved.
